Tour Description

If you and your family have already explored most of city’s beauties and monuments, and you would like to make a different type of experience while travelling Rome, our Food Tour for Kids in Rome is just perfect for you! Discovering a city through its food and flavours is a great way to get to know more about the culture and people’s tastes and habits. By taking this tour, the whole family will definitely have a great time.

Our Food Tour for Kids in Rome lasts 3 hours and it will take place in one of the most famous and ancient square in Rome, Campo de’ Fiori, a really peculiar square where an old, traditional food market still runs. A lovely private child-friendly guide will show you the Italian food displayed on the market stalls. Being a local, your guide will provide you with all the information and secrets about Italian, and more specifically Roman, food making. In that market you’ll be finding so many different types of oil, balsamic vinegar, which are used in the Mediterranean culture to enhance any kind of recipes. Your kids’ hearts will be taken by the sight (and why not, the taste) of such a wide choice of Italian food. From desserts to the traditional bakeries, there is something for every taste. So take a moment to have some Roman typical crispy pizza or some delicious ice-cream (but we recommend you to call it “gelato”: its only one real name!).

If you’ll want to go further into your Food Tour for Kids in Rome, we will book for you another fantastic cooking experience in a typical Italian pizzeria : a pizza making class. A pizza-maker will share his secrets with your family. After the lesson you will be able to prepare a proper Italian pizza! At the end of the lesson, both adults and children will sit down at their table and will eat a typical Italian lunch, consisting of a starter, the pizza you’ve just baked and a really good dessert! Along with water and coffee of course. It will be something your children will cherish forever: they will love to reproduce their pizza once back home!

Italy and food are simply one thing. You have not travelled to Italy if you do not taste its food. So choose our Food Tour for Kids in Rome to make the most authentic Italian experience for the whole family and have the best time altogether!
