Tour Description

Our Treasure Hunt at the Vatican is the best chance for you to introduce your children to the Vatican Museums in a way that is definitely funny and enjoyable to them. Vatican Museums are so jam-packed with art that it can be a daunting place to visit with your family if you not take the right people to drive you. By choosing our Treasure Hunt at the Vatican you will have the best family time through this iconic, gorgeous place!

Throughout your tour, you will be accompanied by a private child-oriented expert guide, at your complete disposal. It all starts from the entrance of the Vatican Museums, where your guide will be waiting for you. You will get access to the Museums with our special, pre-purchased, skip the line tickets, thus avoiding stress and endless lines. In just 3 hours, your enthusiastic private guide will take your family through the different Galleries inside the Vatican, through the Laocoon, the Apollo of Belvedere, the Egyptian Museum with a real mummy and the huge bathtub of Emperor Nero. Right after you will go to the worldwide famous Sistine Chapel to see the impressive Michelangelo’s wall frescoes of the “Creation of the World” and the Last Judgement, before reaching St. Peter’s Basilica. Your children will be motivated to observe carefully the artworks in order to discover fascinating little details, while playing and having fun. Of course, our Vatican Treasure Hunt involves also adults in finding hidden intricacies in the masterpieces.

During the tour, the whole family will be enthralled by the guide who will be telling you fascinating anecdotes of the artwork and history and your kids will get a chance to put into action everything they learn! They will answer quizzes, draw and color pictures and solve puzzles about art and ancient mythology! At the end of the tour they will receive small prizes for their hard work and will be able to take away with them their activity booklet as a fantastic memory of their visit.
Hands-on and interactive this tour is bound to go down a treat with the whole family.

The tour includes both skip the line tickets and a private child-friendly guide. This is an offer you should not let go.
Stop thinking about it! Choose our Vatican Treasure Hunt and get the best family tour into one of Rome’s best places!

Tour's Notes

Please bring an ID document for children as proof of age for the reduced price tickets.
Knees and shoulders must be covered. Failing to follow the Vatican’s dress code, entry may be refused to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Church. We also suggest you wear comfortable shoes, as a moderate amount of walking is involved in this tour.
In case the Basilica of St. Peter is closed for religious functions, you will spend longer time in the Vatican galleries with your private guide. The Basilica is a Church and as such the Vatican can decide to use it for religious functions without notice. We are not responsible for unexpected closure of the Basilica.
This tour operates in all weather conditions.
In summertime we suggest to take this tour in the afternoon or to combine the Treasure Hunt with the early entrance.
Please note that, for disabled visitors with certified invalidity of more than 74%, the Vatican Museums offers free entry that is extended to a companion for visitors who are not self-sufficient. To benefit from this, make sure you mention it at the time of booking so that our staff may handle your request.
