Tour Description

Our Ancient & Baroque Rome Day Tour for Families is a tour among Rome’s most famous attractions with a private highly professional child-friendly guide. You will visit the symbol of Rome, the Colosseum as well as the highlights of Rome dating back to the Baroque period. This is a 7 hour walking tour, however, if you prefer, we can arrange a 3 hour one private driver with VIP car or minivan. This way we will also able to enrich your tour with even more sites!

Your family adventure will start by the short side of the Arch of Constantine. You will enter the Colosseum impressive amphitheater with our pre booked access, which will maximize your time and thus your kids will keep their energy high and maintain interest in the visit. Your children will adore being in your guide’s hands as they explain the famous gladiators and animals’ combats which took place inside! Your private kid-oriented guide will use many visual aids such as overlay books to bring the whole family back in time to Ancient Rome. Your next stop will be the unique St Clemente’s Basilica. Built on three-levels, as you descend down, you will literally whizz back through the centuries. When you reach its undergrounds the whole family will have the mind-blowing opportunity to enter a real Roman house from the 1st century and a Christian church from the 4th century.

From Ancient to Baroque, your Rome family day tour will continue to the amazing Trevi Fountain. Here you will have fun tossing a coin in the fountain to assure your return to Rome! You are now going to visit the Church of St. Ignatius. Parents and kids alike will be blown away by its fake dome, which creates a jaw-dropping illusion. Following the itinerary, you will take a stroll to the Pantheon. Once a temple built by the emperor Hadrian to worship pagan Gods, today it is a Christian church. Keep walking you will head to Argentina Square and admire the ancient Roman ruins. Bizarre but true, today this area is home to a very popular cat sanctuary. Finally, you will stop at Navona Square where the impressive Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini is located. Your kids will love the local artists drawing fun caricatures of tourists and celebrities. Grab a delicious Italian gelato (ice-cream) to round off your family adventure of Rome in real style!
