Tour Description

Our Private Tour of Rome in a Day will allow you to accomplish the impossible: visiting all the highlights of Rome in just one day! We have created this tour for all those tourists who are in Rome just for one day, but still want to maximize their time, focusing on Rome’s highlights. With this comprehensive tour you will explore Ancient Rome, Baroque Rome and of course Vatican Museums, accompanied by your own licensed English-speaking guide.

You will begin your tour in the morning.  While walking on the different levels of the building, your guide will share with you historical facts and anecdotes about the construction of the Colosseum, the cruel gladiator combats which took place inside and on the fascinating history of Ancient Rome, when visiting the ruins of the Roman Forum.

Once outside the Roman Forum you will fast forward to the Baroque period and admire the famous fountains and squares which adorn Rome all over. You will hit the most famous spots, such as the newly polished Spanish Steps, the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini in the center of Navona Square and the majestic Trevi Fountain. Don’t forget to honor the tradition: flip a coin inside the fountain and you will have ensured your returned to the Eternal City! Our Private Tour of Rome in a Day will continue with a stop to the Pantheon, one of the best preserved Ancient Roman buildings. There is so much to learn about this round building and its peculiar dome! Want to see more of the center of Rome before heading to the Vatican? Let us know and we will provide you with a private driver for this part of the tour (3 hours). In this way you will be allowed to see other sites as the keyhole on the Aventine Hill and Circus Maximus.

After a quick lunch break you will visit the Vatican: you will enter the Museums with our pre-purchased access, wander through its countless galleries and marvel at the stunning Sistine Chapel with its ceiling painted by Michelangelo!
