Thanks to our special pre-purchased tickets, you will get priority entrance to the amphitheater. Once inside, your tour will start with a visit around the the first and second level of the Colosseum. From the first level you can also enjoy an overview on the archaeological area of the Roman Forum.

Please ask to your guide as many questions as you want as this is the privilege of having a personal guide. They will be more than happy to see your interest and satisfy all your curiosities! Walk up to the Ludus Magnus Gladiator Arena, where the gladiators used to train themselves for the fights. If you want to go further in depth into Ancient Rome history, enjoy a panoramic tour of the ruins of the Roman Forum from outside. This is the place where everyday, social and public life took place in Ancient Rome. Looking above the Forum, it is also worth to see the beautiful Palatine Hill, where the wealthiest Romans had their houses and villas. You will literally feel like going back in time!

The underground portion of this private tour will lead you inside St Clemente’s Basilica, a spectacular building on three undergrounds levels. An ancient Roman house, dating back to the 1st century AD, is located and still standing on the lowest level. On the level just above you can see the portion of the house that during the 2nd century AD became a Pagan school dedicated to the God Mithra, then an Early Christian Basilica in 4th century AD. Your last stop will be in the higher level, where the actual St. Clemente’s Church is.

Tour's Notes

Please bring an ID document for children as proof of age for the reduced price tickets.
When accessing the monument, Colosseum visitors will be asked to pass security checks, even when entering with pre-booked tickets or vouchers. Please make sure you DO NOT have pointed large umbrellas and knives of any sizes with you. Liquids are allowed but only if in plastic bottles. Remember that you can refill your containers in the fountains inside the Colosseum. Backpacks are allowed inside the Colosseum if very small in size; shoulder bags or handbags are permitted if regular size.
In order to enter religious sites, such as Churches, every participant must make sure they cover their shoulders and knees. We also suggest you wear comfortable shoes, as a moderate amount of walking is involved in this tour.
This tour operates in all weather conditions.

This tour is available every day with the exception of the first Sunday of every month, January 1st, May 1st, December 25th.
There is also NOT morning availability for the following days: Sundays, January 6th, Easter Day, Easter Monday, June 2nd, June 29th, August 15th, November 1st, December 8th, December 26th.
